Since 2007, I’ve been teaching at one of the Bay Area’s finest training ground for young actors, ACT’s Young Conservatory. I’ve been lucky enough to teach a range of subjects, but I specialize in acting technique, and on-camera technique.
Admission: I welcome new young actors, as well as adults. Ideally, I like to have a brief phone conversation to discuss your/your child’s goals and expectations. Students new to acting can expect the first session to include a discussion of basic acting terms and concepts. I recommend at least two hour-long sessions for one new monologue.
Schedule: Appointments can be arranged in daytime or evening.
Location: at your home, or at a studio space available to me. Occasionally I will allow a Skype session for a “touch up”, when travel is out of the question.
Cost: My standard rate is $90 an hour, which includes travel to your home. I do not charge for phone consultation, or any emailing of material. Sessions with me can also be arranged for young students through ACT’s 30 Grant offices.
Cristina was indispensable in preparing my daughter for her audition for the theatre department at Ruth Asawa School of the Arts. Cristina’s professional and encouraging approach brought my daughter’s monologue work to a whole new level. My daughter is a very happy freshman in the theatre department!
